I can’t believe it is already May in 2020! Time for my latest monthly goals for May 2020. We are almost half way through the year already. I turn 30 next month! I won’t lie, I am a little bit terrified and a lot excited. My 5 year plan gets renewed next month and I have already been spending time focusing on it and what I want to happen. I set meaningful goals for myself on a monthly and annual basis too. I make a vision board each year, following my very own vision board strategy.
Lately I have found myself re-evaluating to make sure that I am completely focused on my ultimate goal of achieving my freedom lifestyle, lived as simply and intentionally as possible. That’s why I have decided to share my monthly goals with you on the blog. I think it will help keep me on track with some accountability from each of you lovely people, but it will also give you some insight into the different elements that I am focusing on to design and create my freedom lifestyle. Here are my monthly goals for May 2020, but first I will share some tips on how I choose and set my goals.

How can I design my freedom lifestyle?
I design my freedom lifestyle using my 5 pillar system. The 5 pillars are:
- Simple & Intentional Living
- Make & Save Money
- Wellbeing
- Mindfulness
- Lifestyle
These are the focus of each of my annual and monthly goals and I set my goals within each of these pillars. I decided on these pillars after I created my vision board. I create a vision board each year. From my vision board I was able to see what was important to me and what I really wanted to achieve, and I decided upon my five pillars. These pillars come from my inner most feelings and desires. They are from my heart and soul and so they are unique and important to me. They are based around the 8 areas of life that we have needs in: (1) emotional, (2) spiritual, (3) physical, (4) intellectual, (5) occupational, (6) environmental, (7) financial and (8) social. These are the same for each of us, but how we organise these needs into pillars is completely individual.
How can I create my own vision board?
Creating a vision board is more than just deciding on a few goals and sticking some pictures to a page. A vision board is the visual representation of where you want your life to go and how you want to feel. It isn’t just about achieving, it is about living, feeling and being.
I give a step-by-step walk-through of how to create your vision board in my e-book Vision Board. Get the printable version below or you can get the Kindle version on Amazon!

- Record a new meditation
- Paint my office/spare bedroom

My Blog Goals: May 2020
I also set specific blog goals for each month. Blogging is a major element of my five year plan. It has already allowed me to earn some passive income and I was genuinely shocked when this happened! It has taken a lot of work to get here but I want it to continue. I absolutely love writing and I hope what I share here is useful and inspirational. PLUS I am able to do what I love from anywhere AND make some money. That defines freedom for me. You can read more about how to set up your very own blog here.
My blog goals for this month are:
- Reach 5000 page views or sessions on the blog – I am not too fussy about which at the minute. Once I reach this number, then I will start focusing on sessions, but I want to reach 5000 as a goal in either at the minute.
- Improve my Domain Authority (DA) to 10. It is currently at 7 and I was able to increase from 4 to 7 quite quickly so this is a big goal but one I think will be achievable if I keep up the momentum with my writing.
- Guest post on two other sites – I love writing and I have guest posted on some great blogs and websites in 2019, but I haven’t written any guest posts so far this year.
Here’s how you can start setting meaningful goals today:
- Design your vision board
- Choose your 5 pillars of focus
- Set your annual goals for each pillar
- Breakdown your annual goals into steps – these are your monthly goals
- Remember to check in with these goals at least weekly, if not daily to ensure that you are focusing on them
- Don’t worry if you don’t meet a goal. These aren’t things to kick yourself about. Take some time to consider why you didn’t meet it and re-evaluate your goals for next month.
I can’t wait to hear more about your monthly goals! Have you any goal-setting tips?
